Rent's only $250 a month...you don't mind packing heat, do you?
I think that there's an informant on my block that told the cops about my plans to punish the trash man.
To start, I had a low key night last night...no binge drinking and spending all my money. If you don't know me, this is a very rare event. After realizing there was nothing going on anyway, I decided to stay in and watch all of Fox's late night line up...intriguing, let me tell you. Somewhere around 12:45 am and right in the middle of a particularly intense episode of Dharma and Greg, I noticed that the helicopter noise I'd been hearing outside of my house wasn't going away...
So, like any curious young female who is asking to be hacked up, I went outside to investigate.
As soon as I walked out of my front door, I was hit by a search light coming from above...and then a cop sped by heading towards the highway...and then another sped by in the opposite direction...I saw my neighbor outside and I walked over to him to ask him if he knew what the fuck was going on*. He told me that he was displeased with the police state that had our city under siege and that they do this about twice a year to keep the people frightened...and then proceeded to walk into the middle of the street to display his middle finger as the helicopter's light hit him. Yeah. That didn't really answer my question, but, o.k.
I'll shorten this story now. I never found out who/what the hell they were looking for...the cop cars and the helicopter circled my block for about 30 more minutes...all the while, not stopping to tell us to go inside (another neighbor joined us eventually) or why they were doing this.
So, now that I was scared shitless, I proceeded to go back into my house and sleep soundly with all of the lights on and my tazer placed snuggly under my pillow. Sweet dreams!
*As a side note, my neighbor is one of those conspiracy theory types...I like him for this reason, because he is always out front looking out for "suspicious" characters...and believe me, they are abound in my neighborhood.

Holy Shit Mellen!! Sounds like some major happenings around your pad. I had a friend call me one time and told me to turn on the TV because the swat team was outside his house and he wanted to know if I could see it. Somebody's baby's daddy had kidnapped the baby and was potentially holding him hostage. Bleh, there's too many complications in the world!! I hope you don't roll on the tazer and accidentally give yourself a shock...although, maybe wonderful and strange things will happen if it does happen! LOVE!
I didn't end up shocking myself...I kept the safety on. So, do you think the SWAT team would come to my house if I told them that I was holding my cats hostage? That would be neat.
