Excuse me...but your incense stick appears to be dropping ashes on my shroud

Ok..when it comes down to it, I don't have any new topics to talk about...sorry.

But as the song "Hot Child in the City" starts playing, I am being reminded of the fact that my mother used to often sing this song when referring to her venturing into the city...later in life, I learned that this song is about a young prostitute making her living the best way she knows how...putting the two together is just a very disturbing thought.

On a more realistic note, I didn't make any more progress in redeeming myself from last night's junior high blunder. This is probably a good thing...I would most likely just make things worse. I need a few days breathing time to build my self confidence back up.

I'd also like to give props to the pizza patrons that give out $10 tips for delivering two pizzas. If this makes you feel better for making my night...by golly, it worked. Thank you! This happened a couple times tonight, and it, by far, makes my month and allows me to believe that true karma* does exist.

*as a side note, I'd like to say that I believe that the law of karma holds true on many non-monetary levels...just remember people, you get what you give and one should constantly be aware of the nature and intent of one's actions.

Jesus would agree...don't you think?

Comments:
Then I guess all those F's and deadlines I'm giving my students is going to bite me in the ass one day. Hey, at least I gave them a warning...will karma give me one too?
Mary

Nah...the F's you're giving out is the karma that the students earned for themeselves...unless you're just failing people for the hell of it...which, I can understand, is probably quite fun.

And thanks Apryl! I love making people to smile!
