As a side note...
I forgot to mention...I have this strange dislike of Phish. I don't know where it came from exactly...I think it was a mixture of high school and college experiences with Phish fans...but, at the ACL fest on Saturday, Phish's frontman Trey Anastasio did a cover of "Oooh Child" by the Five Stairsteps. It somehow morphed my many-a-year impression of Phish into something more accessible...for the first time ever, I actually listened to his music.
It shows how damn close-minded I can be sometimes. It took a cover of an outdated and unrecognized song (that I happen to love, undyingly) for me to recognize the significance of a whole subculture of music. Ok. That's pushing it...I didn't get that far with it, but I did start to consider it...more than I have previously.
